Lumirror™ heat resistant grades are PET films with excellent heat resistance and hydrolysis resistance thanks to their specially designed raw material to reduce oligomerization.

Lumirror™ Heat resistant grades demonstrate excellent heat and hydrolysis resistance thanks to their specially designed raw material to reduce oligomerization.
The heat resistant PET is certified as UL746B Class B.
Taking advantage of the electrical insulation offered by PET as well as the long-term heat resistance and low oligomerization mentioned above, they are used for insulation of motors in home appliances such as A/Cs and refrigerators, large scale transformers, and more.

Features

  • Long-term moisture and heat resistance
  • Hydrolysis resistance
  • Low oligomer content
  • Certified as UL746B Class B
  • Hazy

Heat Resistant Life

Fig. 1 shows the heat resistant life results for Lumirror™ X10S type #75 at 10% and 50% strength retention.
Heat resistant life has been greatly improved compared to standard polyester films, with a heat resistant life sufficient for Class B insulating material.
The heat resistant life test method is IEEE No. 98.

Moisture and Heat Resistant Life

Fig. 2 shows the moisture and heat resistant life of the Lumirror™ X10S type through tensile elasticity degradation caused by 140°C high pressure steam.
The X10S type has a significantly improved moisture and heat resistant life compared to the S10 type.
